This piece was created during COVID-19 in 2020 in the US. It happened two months after the school that the artist attended was shut down while everyone followed stay at home orders.
Imagination, cuteness, fluffiness, clumsiness, silliness also has the power to comfort when currently it might not be the best time to hug. Child-like feelings of fun, care, and play can have significant values too. This is an invitation to experience and imagine a world together; an invitation to play together and maybe temporarily find comfort in the space created. And when times are better, hopefully, we can hug, play and soothe each other physically again soon.This is a projection performance that combines light and the fluffy diorama, showing an imaginative environment with night time creatures.
